Accreditation

At Randox Testing Services we strive to maintain the highest standards of laboratory practises and accreditations across our testing portfolio. We do this with the overall aim to reduce the risk of drug & alcohol misuse in the workplace whilst also advancing the standards of drug & alcohol testing across the globe.

What is Laboratory Accreditation?

According to United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), accreditation is the formal recognition that an organisation is competent to perform specific processes, activities, or tasks in a reliable credible and accurate manner.

Laboratories can be accredited by a range of various organisations and bodies, but some certifications may have more relevance than others. We use accredited methods to ensure our analysis and results are accurate.

ISO 17025

The ISO/IEC: 17025 standard that our testing processes meet, is the most appropriate for UK drug and alcohol testing laboratories, titled; General Requirements for the competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. This is an internationally recognised standard allowing RTS to perform testing from collections conducted anywhere around the world.

Accreditation is assessed for and awarded by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), the National Accreditation Body for the United Kingdom.

Randox Testing Services is a UKAS accredited Testing Laboratory, No. 4348.

This accreditation allows laboratories to demonstrate competent operation and the generation of valid results. Implementation of the principles of ISO/IEC: 17025 holistically manages risk and opportunity to further develop our growing compendium of accredited methods of analysis.

Accreditation promotes confidence in work both nationally and on a global scale. It also helps to facilitate cooperation between laboratories and other bodies by generating wider acceptance of results between countries. Test reports and certificates can be accepted from one country to another without the need for further testing
